Jim's Comments: "These profiles have a tone reminiscent of the smaller blackface amps of the 1960's. We created the profiles using a vintage 12" Oxford 12K5-6 speaker, as well as a 25W Celestion Greenback. Swapping the speaker for a Greenback is a popular mod for these style amps. Great classic blackface tone!"
Fender Deluxe Reverb Background Info: It was first introduced in 1963 by incorporating an onboard spring reverb tank to the newly redesigned Fender Deluxe amplifier. A single 12" speaker was powered by a pair of 7408/6V6GT power tubes and one GZ34/5AR4 rectifier tube. The 22 Watt output was obtained by operating the 6V6 power tubes well in excess of their maximum specified operating voltage.
